Your data
Is my data safe?
Where your books live, who can reach them, and what happens if we disappear.
Is everything backed up?
Yes. Your books are backed up automatically every day, with point-in-time recovery, and the restore is rehearsed rather than assumed — a backup nobody has ever restored is not a backup.
You can also pull a full copy of your own records down at any time — see the guide on taking your data with you.
Where it lives
In Google Cloud's Mumbai region, and nowhere else. Your data does not leave India. It is encrypted while it travels and while it sits.
Backups
Taken automatically every day, held in the same region, with point-in-time recovery so a restore can land on a specific moment rather than only on last night.
We rehearse restoring them. A backup nobody has ever restored is a hope, not a backup.
Who can see it
Only the people you invite. Each business's data is isolated from every other business at the database level, not just in the screens — one business cannot read another's records even if the application asked it to.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not train anything on it.
If Dukaaan disappears
Export everything, any time, without asking us — see Export everything you have entered. That is the honest answer to this question, and it is why the export has no conditions on it.
